FREE POETRY AT THE STAR FERRY
Saturday 22nd March 2003, 9-11am


Ten poems in Chinese and ten poems in English: we'll be putting poetry in people's hands. There'll be something for the soul as people enter the Saturday morning centre of Hong Kong, and some warm and wild words to read as they travel across the water to Kowloon.

Island School students will be on hand to hand out the poems. Come along and read work in English by Hong Kong poets, poems by internationally famous poets, and poetry in Chinese by poets from Hong Kong and the mainland.

The poems we've chosen are a taste of good (of course) and accessible poetry, which we hope will make readers hungry for more.
